YAHUKIMO - The Infantry Battalion 6 Marines, part of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, is making a positive impact in Yahukimo Regency, Papua Pegunungan Province. On Monday, October 21, 2024, the Bravo Post, led by Second Lieutenant Alter, engaged with residents of Tomonsatu Village through a Social Communication (Komsos) event while ensuring local security.
This initiative aims to build trust and cooperation between the TNI and the local community, supporting the Indonesian Government's efforts to accelerate development in Papua.

Lieutenant Colonel Rismanto Manurung, Commander of the Marines Task Forces, highlighted the importance of meeting the community's basic needs. Since arriving in Papua, the Bravo Post has prioritized helping local residents through various activities. During their visit, Soldiers interacted with villagers and received positive updates about the area’s security.
One resident, Simon Tabuni, expressed his appreciation, saying, “Thank you, Commander Marines. God bless you.”
Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, the HABEMA Commanding General, praised the Marines for their initiative, stating, “This effort showcases TNI’s commitment to inclusive communication with all stakeholders, supporting the development of Papua.”
This recognition reinforces the strong bond between the Marines and the community, fostering hope for a brighter future in the region.
